Member of the Coordination Framework, Abdul Samad Al-Zarkoushi, confirmed today, Thursday, that the nomination of candidates for the security ministries has reached 90%, while he indicated that the file of the remaining ministerial portfolios in the government of Prime Minister Ali Al-Zaidi will be resolved within ten days starting from today.
Al-Zarkoushi explained to Al-Maalouma that “recent meetings between various political forces to agree on expediting the filling of the remaining ministerial posts in Ali al-Zaidi’s government have reached a good stage,” noting that “90% of the nomination process for the Ministries of Interior and Defense has been finalized, and the names are now with the Prime Minister.”
He indicated that “the remaining nine ministerial posts could be filled within the next ten days, starting today, especially since all differences in visions and disagreements have been resolved,” explaining that “the path is now clear to set a date for a parliamentary session to present and vote on the ministerial nominees, particularly for the security ministries.”
