Iraqi oil maintains its levels above $80 despite a slight decline

Prices for Basra Heavy and Medium crude oils fell slightly on Wednesday, despite the surge in global and regional oil prices.
According to global oil data, the price of Basra Heavy crude fell by 9 cents to $80.34 a barrel, a decrease of 0.11%, while Basra Medium crude fell by the same amount to $83.64 a barrel, also a decrease of 0.11%.
Globally, Brent crude rose 81 cents to $95.46 a barrel, an increase of 0.86%, while US West Texas Intermediate crude climbed 49 cents to $90.71 a barrel, up 0.54%.
As for regional crudes, the UAE’s Murban crude recorded a significant increase of $7.70 to reach $106.15 per barrel, an increase of 7.82%, while Oman crude on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange rose to $94.31, an increase of $3.88 or 4.29%.
The OPEC basket also rose to $91.98 a barrel, an increase of $2.39 or 2.67%, while the Kuwaiti export price reached $89.65, an increase of $2.21 or 2.53%.
