Erbil: A third US convoy moves from Harir base towards Syria

Informed sources revealed on Tuesday that a convoy, the third of its kind, departed from Harir Air Base near Erbil, carrying equipment for US forces and heading towards Syria, under tight security.
The sources explained to Al-Maalomah that “the convoy departed in the early morning hours, comprising dozens of trucks carrying metal containers, believed to contain equipment, devices, and possibly military supplies, from inside Harir Air Base near Erbil, heading towards the Iraqi-Syrian border, under heavy security provided by US forces.”
They added that “this convoy is part of the dismantling of military equipment and devices inside Harir Air Base, in preparation for ending the US military presence at this large base, which constitutes an important hub for the US presence not only in Iraq but also in the Middle East, and has been used as a logistical support framework, particularly for US bases spread throughout Syria.”
They indicated that “the US presence is shrinking at an accelerating pace inside Harir Air Base, and declaring it free of a military presence may take some time, but in any case, it has decreased significantly in recent weeks.”
