Ali al-Fatlawi, a member of the Reconstruction and Development Coalition, clarified the core of the political dispute within the coordination framework regarding the remaining ministerial positions in al-Zidi’s cabinet. He pointed out that the path is now clear to resolve most of the portfolios, despite a disagreement surrounding the Ministry of Interior.
Al-Fatlawi told Al-Maalouma, “The problem regarding the cabinet still exists, despite the State Administration Coalition meeting last week, where the issue was raised for discussion and resolution among the political blocs.”
He added, “The vacant ministerial positions are facing some obstacles, especially concerning the Ministry of Interior. There is a problem within the coordination framework regarding the State of Law Coalition’s acquisition of this ministry, in addition to objections to the State of Law’s nominee for the position.”
He explained that “agreement is still lacking within the coordination framework regarding the nominee for the Ministry of Interior. As for the other ministries, the path is now clear, especially since there is a political inclination to resolve the issue and finalize the remaining positions in al-Zidi’s cabinet.”
