A member of the Coordination Framework, Uday Abdul-Hadi, confirmed on Wednesday that the Coordination Framework forces will hold a meeting tomorrow to discuss five issues on the agenda.
Abdul-Hadi explained to Al-Maalouma that, “According to available information, the Coordination Framework forces, with all their leaders, will hold an important meeting tomorrow in Baghdad, in the presence of Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi, to discuss five issues on the agenda. The most prominent of these are the nature of the challenges of the current phase, the government’s measures to address the financial crisis, and the issue of completing the formation of the government, given that nine ministerial portfolios are currently held by acting ministers, particularly in the security ministries.”
He indicated that, “The meeting may result in an agreement to proceed with finalizing the formation of the government, especially since voting on the remaining ministerial candidates is crucial. There is consensus within the Framework forces to move forward with this step and finalize it through the Parliament, by communicating with the other political forces.”
He clarified that, “The meeting will be very important in terms of its outcomes regarding the issues discussed.”
