Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi will pay an official visit to Saudi Arabia next Thursday, which will include bilateral talks and the signing of memoranda of understanding in a number of sectors, in addition to discussing security coordination between the two countries and developments in the regional situation, according to a well-informed government source.
The source told Shafaq News Agency that Al-Zaidi will make an important official visit to Saudi Arabia on Thursday of this week, indicating that the visit will witness the signing of memoranda of understanding in various sectors.
He added that the talks will also include coordinating security efforts between Iraq and Saudi Arabia, as well as coordinating positions on the situation in the region, and discussing the impact of the war on security and economic stability throughout the region.
The visit comes days after an official visit that Al-Zaidi is scheduled to make to the Turkish capital, Ankara, next Tuesday, which, according to a government source, will include talks and cooperation agreements in the security, economic and investment fields, as well as oil and energy files and increasing trade exchange, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues.
Al-Zaidi had visited the United States on July 14, before making an official visit to Iran on July 24, as part of regional and international diplomatic moves that Iraq has witnessed recently.
