Basra Oil Company directs the resumption of production and pumping at maximum capacity in three strategic fields

The Basra Oil Company’s operations department has directed the resumption of production and pumping at the maximum available production capacity in three major oil fields in the province, and a return to normal production levels.
According to an official letter issued by the company and signed by the Director of Operations, Imad Hassan Lafteh, which was obtained by Shafaq News Agency, the directive included the operating bodies of the (North Rumaila, West Qurna/1, and Artawi) fields, in addition to the Al-Tuba field belonging to the South Basra Integrated Division.
The document indicated that the directive stipulated the commencement of pumping operations and the return to normal capacities towards the company’s warehouses starting from eight o’clock on Friday evening, in order to meet the work requirements and the planned production plans.
This decision comes amid optimism in economic circles about the return of stability to energy supply chains in the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf region, amid diplomatic efforts and talks aimed at reducing regional tensions and securing international shipping lanes in the Middle East.
