A political source confirmed on Tuesday that the case of former Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is among the most important files awaiting investigation, indicating that investigations and accountability will take place, but their resolution is postponed at the present time.
The source told Al-Maalouma that “Mohammed Shia al-Sudani is accused in the signatures file and of facilitating certain deals, in addition to the election file and the financing of figures on his list with enormous sums of money allocated for election campaigns in order to win and obtain seats.”
He added that “there is a very large inflation in the funds that al-Sudani possesses, which are astronomical figures, and there is monitoring and oversight of these files, but the investigation into them is postponed during this period.”
He pointed out that “these files will be opened and there will be accountability according to the law.”
