3 reasons behind postponing the coordination framework meeting to decide on the prime ministerial candidateInformation/Baghdad…
On Monday, Uday Abdul-Hadi, a member of the Coordination Framework, identified three reasons behind the postponement of yesterday’s meeting, which was scheduled to finalize the selection of a prime ministerial candidate.

Abdul-Hadi told Al-Maalouma, “The forces within the Coordination Framework were united in holding an important meeting yesterday evening in Baghdad, but it was decided to postpone it until further notice for three main reasons.”
He added, “The first reason is the attempt to reconcile differing viewpoints regarding the nature of the decision, given that there are three to four names being considered for nomination.” He explained that “the second reason relates to discussing the general nature of the entitlements among the political forces.”
He pointed out that “the third reason focuses on defining the main axes of the upcoming government program,” noting that “the decision to postpone came out of necessity and in an effort to address the differing disagreements on the issues under discussion.”
Abdul-Hadi affirmed that “a resolution may be reached in the coming days, given the intensive efforts underway to expedite the process of reaching agreements,” revealing that “this evening will witness a meeting between representatives of some political forces, an important meeting aimed at fostering rapprochement and understanding that could lead to bringing forward the date of the decisive session for the forces within the Coordination Framework.”
