10-12-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “Source: Talabani will travel tomorrow to Arbil to meet with Barzani” This is already old news – he is there (as of this evening – their time). I was under the impression he had already gone at some point over the last couple of days. Apparently not. However, this is one of the last two events I said needed to happen for there to be a successful National Meeting. Again – as you read this, understand – I imagine they will all get there and try, but before or at the National Meeting Maliki will likely pull a “maliki move” and they will have to remove him. Just my humble prediction.
10-12-2012 Intel Guru BOBGETZ6 Hearing that a lot is going on behind the scenes, but they won’t tell me what. I feel as if only a few in the world know exactly and that is by design. They need to be able to control the rv and then go to an open market. Controlled float only = – 2% over 90 days, IMO. I don’t think their budget will be sustained by an RI and they want to be higher than Kuwait.
10-12-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “CBI Press Release: Temporary Postponement of dropping of zeros” This is another version of the article I had…a couple of days ago… It is the CBI reiterating their stance on the stability of the government and the power sharing aspects. However, I do believe them to be talking about 2 separate elements of the same project. 1) the “removing of the 3 zeros” is the value change portion of the project (and thereby removing the big bills from circulation). 2) putting the “new currency” in circulation refers to a new currency that has yet to be printed (and is in question of ever being printed – especially since they have lower denoms ready to use for the value change). 3) as soon as the power sharing and GOI is in place they will revisit the first part of this plan immediately. On numerous occasions it has been mentioned they are fully ready and waiting on the government.
10-12-2012 Newshound Guru Kaperoni the CBI has done its task in preparing for the transition…meaning they have the deal done and ready to go to raise the value of the dinar…free float that was what i was told…well that is not fact yet…hoping soon now [a free float could escalate pretty quick]…well it depends, the CBI controls the liquidity so they can control the rate of rise by turning off/on the dinar sales to fast, put more dinar out to slow, shut off supply.

THAT IS WHY THE CBI WAS MADE AUTONOMOUS BECAUSE THEY KNEW ALONG THIS RIDE AND ESPECIALLY AT THE END THERE WOULD BE THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN. 10-11-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG Article: “Haitham al-Jubouri called “central” to raise the value of the Iraqi dinar against the dollar, 11 OCTOBER” This article should be very comforting and further highlights the “friction” I have talked about between the GOI and the CBI. The good news…Jubouri is asking for – essentially, the IQD to be released as a free float/dirty float…something along those lines. They (the SLC) are finally complaining publicly about the low rate of the IQD against the USD. None of the above will happen until the political aspects are solved. However, it should be comforting knowing this is a very real investment and it’s only a matter of time. The SLC (Maliki’s thugs) are asking for the money without honoring any of their previous agreements. The CBI has been plain – we will revalue the money once the power sharing agreement is fully implemented.

10-11-2012 Newshound Gurus Mike & L.J We are actually hearing and seeing articles telling us the rates are slowly coming down in country so they have a little more value and people are happy…and that is where he [Shabibi] wants it to be so he can go ahead and make his moves unilaterally and inject the syrup that he needs in this economy to make it grow and he will do that bit by bit and only he knows when he is ready for that and only he knows when that is going to happen.

10-11-2012 Newshound/Intel Guru BGG “these agreements, including what and signed by Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki during his recent visit to Moscow must be regulated by law and are approved as stipulated in the Iraqi constitution, one of the duties of the House of Representatives exclusively.” Yup – like I said, not to worry. These stupid arms deals won’t see the light of day. The Parliament has to approve them – Maliki can’t just sign anything he wants. Folks are gettin’ pissed that he thinks no one but him has a say in anything.

10-11-2012 Newshound Guru Adam Montana the bottom line is this: 1. We are waiting for a resolution on the HCL, and they are making headway. Lots of good news there this week and last. 2. We don’t expect them to give us a legitimate “heads up” when they are going to RV – it will happen as “unexpectedly” as possible to preserve their profit margin. 3. There is no bad news right now!

10-10-2012 Intel Guru TerryK I GOT A CALL…TELLING ME THAT THIS PERSON DID SEE THE RATE 1.18 AT A CURRENCY EXCHANGE CENTER IN IRAQ THAT WAS FROM YESTERDAY. DOES NOT KNOW IF IT IS STILL THERE, DOES NOT KNOW IF IT WAS A ACCIDENT OR REAL. IT WAS THERE FOR A FEW HOURS UNTIL HE LEFT. THIS MAYBE A TEST RUN BECAUSE I HAVE NOT HEARD OF ANYONE CASHING IN ON THAT RATE, IT MAY HAVE BEEN POSTED BUT NOT EXCHANGING. IT WOULD FLUSH ALOT OF DINARS OUT.
