Zelensky calls Al-Sudani: Iraq is a pivotal country

Shafaq News / Today, Monday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani, discussed with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, during a phone call, between them the bilateral relations between the two countries, while the Ukrainian President described Iraq as “the pivotal and important country”.
The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by Shafaq News agency, “The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia’ al-Sudani, received today, Monday, a phone call from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the contact discussed bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to develop them in a way that serves common interests.”
During the call, Al-Sudani stressed “the importance of reaching a peaceful solution in Ukraine, and taking dialogue as a way to end this crisis, which has caused many tragedies.”
For his part, Ukrainian President Zelensky said, “Iraq is a pivotal and important country, and he is keen to develop relations with Iraq in all fields, based on this importance.”
