World Gold Council: Iraq ranked 37th in the world of gold reserves

Iraq has maintained its 37th position globally for its reserves of gold in November, the World Gold Council said, noting that the United States maintained its first position in terms of these reserves.
The World Gold Council said in a report that Iraq’s reserves of gold amounted to more than eighty-nine tons, indicating that Iraq is still maintaining its seventh position globally.
The council added that this amount represents eight percent of other reserves of foreign currencies at the Central Bank of Iraq, pointing out that Iraq has not bought gold since 2000 and 15, but he has maintained this level since then.
