Shafaq News/ Well-informed political sources suggested on Saturday the intention of the coordination framework and its allies to complete the government’s file in the next parliament session.
The sources told Shafak News Agency; That “the session of the Iraqi Council of Representatives for next Monday may include naming the government and choosing the president of the republic.”
The sources added; That this decision was taken both before the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, with the offer made to him by the coordination framework, which provides for granting him 6 ministerial portfolios from the total of ministerial portfolios for the Shiite component.
The sources continued; The offer made to al-Sadr guarantees him the right to choose the ministries he wants, and if he refuses, the framework and its allies will proceed with the project of naming the government as well.
The “Coalition of State Administration”, which brings together the main Shiite, Sunni and Kurdish political forces, held an important meeting, earlier today, Saturday, to discuss the completion of the movement to form the new Iraqi government.
Informed sources told Shafaq News Agency, “The State Administration coalition, with all its forces, will hold an important meeting this evening in the capital, Baghdad, to discuss completing the movement to form the new Iraqi government and pushing the Kurdish forces towards resolving the dispute with the presidency.”
The sources indicated that “the meeting of the State Administration Coalition will discuss the issue of forming a delegation representing it for the purpose of conducting dialogue and negotiation with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, regarding the next government and its tasks.”
And earlier Saturday, the head of the “Al-Fateh” coalition bloc, Abbas Al-Zamili, denied the existence of any secret meeting that brought together the leader of the coalition, Hadi Al-Amiri, with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada Al-Sadr over the past period, stressing that there will be a meeting that brings together Al-Amiri with Al-Sadr soon.
