White House calls for Maliki to step down

Exhorted the White House, on Wednesday, Iraqi Prime Minister outgoing Nuri al-Maliki to step down and allow his successor-designate to form a government.
He said national security spokesman Ben Rhodes told reporters “We must respect the process. This is not imposed by one from abroad. This is decided by the Iraqis themselves.”
and added that the White House “would be very happy to see a new government (…) did not work the Iraqis together in years past have not been taking the year into account adequately and this is what led to the loss of confidence in some areas of Iraq and inside forces security. ”
