Weights … The elections in Iraq may be postponed to November 2021

A member of the Committee for Amending the Parliamentary Elections Law, Adel Al-Lami, the former head of the electoral district, said today, Sunday, that the elections will be postponed until November 2021, while noting that most of the political forces are convinced that the governorates will be transformed into four electoral districts .
Al-Lami said, “The political forces now, and after sessions and negotiations, are convinced that the provinces will be transformed into four electoral districts .”
He added that “most of the political forces want to preserve their interests and their current situation in order to continue the work of their blocs and their ministers in the government and parliament without returning to the honest competition .”
Al-Lami pointed out that “holding the elections will be postponed to four new months, meaning that the elections will take place in November 2021, which does not matter to the political blocs, considering that the task of the parliamentary session will be nearing completion and the remainder of them are few .”
