Miller said in a press conference, “We are concerned that members of the Popular Mobilization Forces do not obey the Commander-in-Chief of the Iraqi Armed Forces and are participating in acts of violence and destabilization in Iraq and Syria.”

He added, “The attacks on American forces, international coalition forces, Iraqi army personnel, and commercial sites violate Iraq’s security and economy.”

The spokesman continued by saying, “We will continue to demand that the Iraqi government rein in these parties, and hold them responsible for violating the law.”
