The US Embassy in Baghdad denied on Friday reports that US forces will completely withdraw from the capital, Baghdad, on Saturday.
In a statement received by Al-Maalouma Agency, the US Embassy spokesperson in Baghdad said, “The reports that US forces will completely evacuate Baghdad starting tomorrow are inaccurate.”
He added, “As explained in the joint statement, this represents the natural evolution of the coalition’s military mission in Iraq toward a more traditional bilateral security relationship.”
