US-trained Iraqi cell to monitor the border via satellite

Babinaoz – agencies: source revealed, Wednesday, the U.S. cell trained a number of Iraqi security forces to control the borders of Iraq via satellite, adding that this process take place within Convention Alstratjah agreements between Iraq and the United States of America.
The source, who asked not to be named, said “There is a U.S. cell comprising of four people you trained a number of Iraqi security forces on the Iraqi border control via satellite.”
The source explained that “the functions of the cell purely technical and training and not doing any other tasks,” noting that “this work played by this cell takes place within the strategic agreement between Iraq and the United States of America (SOFA).”
The source revealed, earlier in the day Wednesday, the U.S. Department of Defense refuses to withdraw 300 U.S. troops from Iraq, Congress decided to end the funding at the end of last month.
It is said that Iraq has signed an agreement with strategic frameworks and the United States in 2008, and which provides support ministries, institutions and government departments in the Republic of Iraq, to strengthen ties in all areas of cultural, economic, diplomatic and security.
And Section III of the Convention strategy between Iraq and America: To enhance security and stability in Iraq, and thereby contribute to the maintenance of peace and stability, and enhance the ability of the Republic of Iraq to deter all threats against its sovereignty, security and territorial integrity, the parties continue to work on the development of friendly cooperative relations between the two with regard to defense and security arrangements without prejudice to Iraqi sovereignty over its territory and waters and airspace.
This cooperation is in the areas of security and defense and in accordance with the agreement between the United States and the Republic of Iraq on the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq and the organization of their activities during the temporary presence in it.
