, US State Department spokesperson, Morgan Ortagos, said on Monday that his government is in comprehensive talks with the Iraqi government, pointing out that “the imposition of sanctions” is under review.
“We have no intention of imposing sanctions on Iraq, but the matter is under review,” Ortagos said, in a televised interview, via Al Arabiya television, noting that “any country that does not adhere to the sanctions on Iran will face the consequences of the violation.”
She noted that “the Iraqi parliament’s vote to remove our forces was a decision, not a law,” adding that his government was conducting “comprehensive talks with the Iraqi government not only to fight ISIS.” End / 29 BC
