US report: Tel Aviv provides Washington with information about a new Iranian plot to assassinate Trump

An American press report stated that Israeli authorities provided the US administration with intelligence information indicating that Iran is working on a new plan to assassinate US President Donald Trump.
The Wall Street Journal quoted informed sources as saying that the report did not reveal the channel or timing of the exchange of this intelligence information between the Israeli and American sides regarding the details of the Iranian plot.
The newspaper noted in its report that calls to kill Trump had emerged during the funeral ceremonies held for the late Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in the US-Israeli attacks on Iran in late February.
Trump had been the target of several suspected assassination attempts in the past; most notably, he was injured in his right ear during an armed attack at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania on July 13, 2024, and another attempt was thwarted at his golf club in Florida on September 15, 2024.
An armed attack targeting the White House Correspondents’ Club dinner on April 25, which was attended by Trump and members of his administration, was also thwarted after the Secret Service arrested the suspect.
