TankerTrackers.com, a website that tracks the movement of oil tankers around the world, reported on Sunday that the US Navy had seized $380 million worth of Iranian oil in the Indian Ocean.
The website quoted satellite data indicating that the oil seized by the US Navy appeared to be on its way to the United States.
He added that $1 billion worth of oil shipments were returned to Iran after being intercepted by the US Navy.
Shipping data reported by The Times earlier on Sunday revealed that traffic in the Strait of Hormuz remains disrupted, with more than 600 large commercial vessels stuck in the area, amid strict transit procedures imposed by Iran on ships allowed to pass through.
