A responsible source in the local Anbar government revealed today, Tuesday, that the American forces have established a military base on the Jordanian border, 20 km from the Iraqi border.
The source said in a statement to Al-Maalouma Agency, “The American forces established a military base on the Jordanian border, 20 km from the Iraqi border, in order to tighten their control over the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian triangle and to provide protection for the Zionist occupation forces from any external targeting.”
He added that “the American forces did not give any name to the new base, which was kept completely secret when it was first established,” indicating that “an American force supported by light and medium weapons and vehicles was stationed in the base building that is planned to be established in the coming period.”
He explained that “the American forces conducted aerial surveys of the border strip areas with Jordan towards the areas west of Anbar in preparation for the deployment of sufficient additional forces to protect the new location of the American forces.”
