The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Wednesday that 20 Iranian naval vessels have been sunk to the bottom of the ocean since the outbreak of the war.
CENTCOM said that “U.S. forces sank or struck more than 20 Iranian regime vessels on the ocean floor.”
The US Central Command continued: “Last night, a Soleimani-class warship was added to the list.”
On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a series of raids on targets in Iran, including the capital Tehran, causing extensive damage, civilian casualties, and the assassination of Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and some leaders of the Revolutionary Guard and the army.
Iran retaliated against the US-Israeli attack, resulting in widespread repercussions across eight countries in the region. These repercussions included Iraq, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia.
