A source in the National Alliance, the coalition forces will meet to nominate the leader of the Islamic Dawa Party and the current First Deputy Speaker of the House Haider Abadi for the post of prime minister in the new government.
The source said, in a press statement that “a meeting house of Prime Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaafari, this morning, for the nomination of Haider Abadi, an official for the position,” noting that “he will address the President of the Republic Fuad Masum this nomination for his appointment to succeed Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki.”
