Iraq is preparing in the next few hours for a historic victory to liberate all its territory, which was drowned by gangs and called the terrorist after the events of the city of Mosul in 2014.
The Qaim district in western Anbar, which is adjacent to the border with Syria, and the last bastions urging in Iraq and liberate it will declare the country of Mesopotamia free of this terrorist group.
On Friday morning, the 9th Armored Division of the Army, the Anti-Terrorist Service and the Popular Support Forces stormed the areas of Saada, Karbala and Hasiba in the Qaim area.
The areas and villages were liberated one by one in the past hours, and the joint forces took control of the border post with Syria and opposite the Bu Kamal area.
Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi announced at the end of last month the start of the restoration of al-Qaim, and said that “Iraqi forces are creeping on the last strongholds of terrorism in Iraq.”
“The al-Qaim district will be liberated very soon,” said Brigadier General Yehia Rasool, spokesman for the Joint Operations Command.
If this process is completed as planned, the presence of a supporter will end in Iraq after 3 years, during which he controlled 40 percent of its territory.
The vast majority of its strongholds in Iraq, such as Mosul, Hawija, Tall Afar and Ramadi, were lost.
