Shafaq News/ On Friday, the United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) issued a statement regarding the missile attack that targeted the American embassy in Baghdad.
The UN mission confirmed, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that Iraq’s stability and security are at the forefront and core of all UNAMI’s work, adding: “Iraq cannot afford to be dragged into a broader conflict, which would threaten the stability that was achieved after effort.” hard work and the achievements achieved so far.”
According to the statement, the mission condemned “the missile attack this morning on the American embassy in Baghdad,” and urged the need to protect all diplomatic buildings in accordance with international law, as confirmed by the Iraqi government.
The office of the official spokesman for the US Embassy in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, had confirmed earlier on Friday that the embassy building complex had been subjected to a missile attack that did not result in human casualties, at the same time accusing pro-Iranian militias of carrying out the attack.
