US President Donald Trump confirmed on Sunday evening that the agreement with Iran will be signed within the next two or three hours, suggesting that the agreement will be signed in person within a week in Europe.
Trump added in statements to the American network “Fox News”, “I will ask Iran not to bomb Israel in response to its bombing of the southern suburbs of Beirut”, stressing that the embargo imposed on Iran will be lifted immediately if the agreement is signed.
In this context, an Axios correspondent said that the US president told him in telephone remarks that he believed the agreement with Iran would be signed today, despite the Israeli raid on Beirut.
Reuters quoted an official familiar with the talks between Washington and Tehran as saying that “mediators are optimistic about the imminent completion of the US-Iran agreement.”
