Trump signs historic deals with Qatar worth over 1 trillionShafaq News/ US President Donald Trump signed an economic cooperation agreement with Qatar on Wednesday worth more than $1 trillion.

The White House said in a statement: “Today, Trump signed an agreement with Qatar that will contribute to enhancing economic exchange worth no less than $1.2 trillion.”

Trump also announced economic deals totaling more than $243.5 billion between the United States and Qatar, including a historic deal to sell Boeing aircraft and General Electric aircraft engines to Qatar Airways.

The White House noted that these historic deals will drive innovation and prosperity for generations, enhance American industrial and technological leadership, and position America for a new golden age.

The White House released some of the many groundbreaking deals concluded in Qatar, including Boeing and GE Aviation’s historic $96 billion order from Qatar Airways for up to 210 US-made Boeing 787 Dreamliner and 777X aircraft powered by GE Aviation engines.

This is Boeing’s largest-ever aircraft order and the largest-ever 787 order. This historic agreement will support 154,000 American jobs annually, totaling more than one million jobs in the United States during the production and delivery period.

Among other deals, White House said: McDermott has a strong partnership with Qatar Energy in developing vital energy infrastructure, with seven active projects worth $8.5 billion.

As the sole supplier of offshore components for Qatar’s major LNG expansion, McDermott’s work supports thousands of jobs in the U.S. energy sector.

Parsons has successfully won 30 projects worth $97 billion. These valuable contracts have spurred significant growth for the company, supporting thousands of jobs across the United States and cementing America’s leadership in advanced engineering and innovation.

Quantinuum has completed a joint venture agreement with Qatari company Al Rabban to invest up to $1 billion in advanced quantum technologies and workforce development in the United States, supporting American jobs and leadership in this vital emerging technology.

Today’s signings demonstrate President Trump’s intent to accelerate Qatar’s defense investments in the U.S.-Qatar security partnership—bolstering regional deterrence and benefiting the U.S. industrial base.

The defense deals concluded today confirm Qatar’s purchase of advanced military equipment from two leading US defense companies:

Raytheon, an RTX company, has secured a $1 billion agreement to provide Qatar with anti-drone capabilities. The agreement was signed by the governments of the United States and Qatar.

This makes Qatar the first international customer for Raytheon’s Fixed Position – Integrated Defeat System for Small, Slow, and Low-flying Aircraft (FS-LIDS). This agreement directly supports highly skilled manufacturing and engineering jobs in the United States and enhances its leadership in innovative defense technologies.

General Atomics has secured a nearly $2 billion agreement to purchase the MQ-9B unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) system from Qatar, signed by the US and Qatar.

This deal will strengthen the bilateral relationship between the United States and Qatar and provide the Qatari Armed Forces with the world’s most advanced multi-role aircraft, manufactured with American products in the United States.

The United States and Qatar also signed a statement of intent to enhance their security partnership, encompassing potential investments exceeding $38 billion, including burden-sharing support at Al Udeid Air Base and future defense capabilities in air defense and maritime security.

According to the White House, these new agreements and tools are intended to drive growth in bilateral trade relations between the United States and Qatar, create thousands of well-paying jobs, and open new opportunities for trade and investment between the two countries over the next decade and beyond.
