Trump: NATO allies have told us they do not want to get involved in a war against Iran

On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump revealed that most NATO countries were unwilling to participate in the war led by the US and Israel against Iran.
Trump said in a press statement, “Most of our NATO allies have informed us that they do not want to be involved in our military operation against the terrorist regime in Iran.”
Trump continued: “We no longer want or desire any support from NATO countries, nor from Japan, Australia, or South Korea.”
As the joint US-Israeli military campaign against Iran entered its third week, the Trump administration began urging the world to join the fight, claiming it was to protect the safety and security of its citizens from Iranian retaliatory attacks.
Many allies have publicly rejected Trump’s call to join a military coalition to protect the Strait of Hormuz, and since the start of the military operation against Iran, Iran and its allied groups have launched attacks on targets in at least twelve countries in the Middle East and beyond.
