US President Donald Trump confirmed, on Thursday, that his country is working to build relations with Iraq based on the interests of the two countries, indicating that Iraq is a sovereign state and it is not appropriate for US forces to stay for a long time.
“We have a limited number of soldiers in Iraq, but we are there to help if Iran does anything,” Trump said at a news conference with Al-Kazemi at the White House.
He pointed out, “Iraq is a sovereign state and it is not appropriate for us to stay there for a long time.”
He added, “We are working to build relations with Iraq based on the interests of the two countries, and we are participating in many oil exploration projects in Iraq.” Ended 29 / h
