On Sunday afternoon, US President Donald Trump expressed his willingness to meet with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings in New York.
Trump told Fox News, as reported by Shafaq News Agency: “I would be open to the idea of meeting the Iranian president in New York.”
He added that he was about to make a decision regarding Iran, saying: “Something big may happen very soon regarding Iran,” and that it would be best for the Iranians to behave better.
On the other hand, Trump indicated that Washington is in “constant contact” with the Houthis in Yemen, and that they have agreed not to fight the United States.
