US President Donald Trump announced on Friday the arrest of the suspect in the murder of activist Charlie Kirk, indicating that he deserves the death penalty .
“I believe with a high degree of certainty that the suspect in the murder of Charlie Kirk has been arrested,” Trump said during a press interview, noting that “the crucial information that led to the arrest came from someone close to the suspect .”
According to him, authorities are expected to issue an official announcement regarding the arrest today, noting that “the police and Ministry of Justice officials did a great job in Kirk’s case .”
He added, “I hope the death penalty will be applied to the killer .”
