Kazem said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, “There is a parliamentary move to demand Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi to hold an emergency session in order to discuss the rise in the exchange rate of the dollar,” noting that “Parliament will address all American decisions that helped in the rise in the price of the dollar and the devaluation of the Iraqi dinar.” in front of him.”
And he continued, “Parliament will cut off its legislative recess in order to hold an emergency session to discuss and address the high exchange rates of the dollar.”
He pointed out that “all economic and financial committees also held several meetings in order to develop solutions to end the crisis of high dollar prices,” noting that “this rise will greatly affect citizens directly and we will not allow it.”
And the economic expert, Salam Sumaisem, had confirmed in an interview with Al-Maalouma, that “the reason for the rise in dollar prices during this period is due to bad practices carried out by private banks,” noting that “government measures, especially the Central Bank, are working seriously to reduce dollar prices in Local markets, through the electronic window and increased selling in the currency auction.
