Today, Sunday, a member of the House of Representatives, Ali Al-Jamali, revealed the corruption files involving the former Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and among the reasons for not prosecuting him previously, he pointed to the role of the judiciary.

He added, “Al-Halbousi had the position of the highest legislative authority in the country, meaning that the investigations and files reach a point and stop, due to the pressure he exerts on the concerned authorities.”
The member of the House of Representatives explained, “All the files that contained the names of men linked to the former Speaker of Parliament will have their turn and be prosecuted sooner or later.”
Turki stressed, “The final result of all these transgressions and violations must have a deterrent, which began with the decision of the Federal Court, which terminated his membership, and will only end with the exposure of many violations and corruption files that will haunt him soon.”
