Security expert, Qatari Al-Samarmad, revealed today, Sunday, the withdrawal of 7,000 soldiers from the international coalition forces from the Ain al-Assad base in Anbar, noting that the withdrawing soldiers represent more than 60 countries.
Al-Samarmad said in a statement to / Al-Maalomah / agency, that “the forces of the so-called international coalition led by America evacuated, in stages, more than 7,000 soldiers from the Ain al-Assad base building in the al-Baghdadi area of Hit district, west of Anbar, as part of an agreement concluded earlier between the central government and the international coalition to withdraw its forces from the Al-Assad base after the security forces are ready.”
He added that “the withdrawal of the so-called international coalition forces led by America from the Ain al-Assad base comes within the terms of the security agreement signed with the American side.”
He stressed that “the remaining forces inside the base building are very small in number,” denying: “setting a date for their handover to the Jazeera Operations Command.”
