The White House has been counting Bidens lapses since the beginning of the year... and a surprising numberWhite House communications staff have had to correct President Joe Biden’s public statements at least 148 times since the beginning of 2024, a review of official White House transcripts shows.

The White House releases an official transcript any time the president delivers a speech or takes questions.
A Daily Caller analysis showed that communications staffers frequently correct, add to or change Biden’s official statements in order to make them consistent with official White House policy, or in some cases, reality.
In several cases, official statements had to be changed to convey the exact opposite of what Biden actually said.
Through 118 statements, speeches and conversations with reporters from January 1 to April 24, the White House officially updated its transcript with corrections of what Biden said out loud at least 148 times.
Some amendments include corrections to names, dates, and titles of organizations, others change verbs and modify the meaning of the President’s statement entirely. Words that the US President did not say, but should have said, according to White House staff, were also added to the texts, according to the Daily Caller.
The website published some statements by Biden and amendments to them, such as the following statement:
“We have vaccinated the greater part of America. We have overcome this epidemic with less than 200 million people – with less than 2 million people vaccinated when I took office… Today, 720 [270] ] 1 million Americans on COVID vaccine,” reads a White House transcript from a Jan. 30 campaign reception. (America’s total population is about 333 million, according to the US Census Bureau.)
In total, Biden got the names or titles of individuals, places and groups wrong 20 times spanning from January 1 to April 24, according to a Daily Caller analysis. Biden has misrepresented the numbers of his accomplishments, often confusing thousands, millions, billions, and trillions 12 times.
When telling stories, a Daily Caller analysis found that Biden often mixed up pronouns, for example, sometimes saying “we” instead of “he” when referring to former President Donald Trump. The White House transcripts corrected this 13 times.
The president also encountered 20 errors when referring to health care that the White House corrected. He confused seniors with disabilities with seniors with “diabetes.”
The White House did not respond to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
The Daily Caller analysis does not include times when the White House changed texts without indicating a change.
