The Ministry of Planning announced, today, Sunday, the start of the third and final phase of the population census.
A statement by the ministry received by Al-Maalouma Agency stated that “the head of the General Authority for Statistics and Geographic Information Systems, Diaa Awad Kazim, announced the start of the third phase of the general population census, which will continue until the tenth of next month.”
He added that “the field teams will visit all the families that the enumerators were unable to visit during the previous phase, noting that “the third phase includes identifying the living characteristics of the population in the areas of health, housing, education, services, work and difficulties, and this data represents great importance for development and improving the level of services and directing the paths of service and development projects at the level of governorates, districts, sub-districts, villages and residential areas.”
The statement continued, “During this phase, the field teams will visit all families, including those that were not reached in the past two days, to complete all data.”
