Shafaq News/ The President of Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani described, on Wednesday, the missile bombing that took place near the residence of Parliament Speaker Muhammad al-Halbousi as a “serious threat to the security and stability” of the country.
President Barzani said in a tweet on Twitter today, “We condemn the bombing that occurred last night near the residence of Mr. Muhammad al-Halbousi, Speaker of Parliament in Anbar, and resulted in the injury of civilians. We wish them a speedy recovery.”
He added that “these sabotage acts are a serious threat to the security and stability of the country and seek to provoke chaos and discord,” calling on “everyone to exercise restraint and to exercise caution and caution.”
Yesterday, Tuesday, the host of the Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, was targeted in the Karma area, east of Anbar Governorate, by four missiles fired by unknown persons, injuring three civilians with varying degrees of injury.
The latest attack comes a few hours after a decisive decision issued by the Federal Court to legalize the first parliament session, which witnessed the election of Al-Halbousi as Speaker of the Council for a second term.
The attacks targeting party offices in Baghdad, Kirkuk and Anbar have been repeated over the past few years, specifically targeting Sunni forces and the Kurdistan Democratic Party.
