Member of the Parliamentary Finance Committee, MP Mudhar Karwi, denied on Saturday that there is a specific timetable for the government to submit the 2025 budget tables.
Karwi told Al-Maalouma, “The 2025 budget tables have indeed been delayed, and there were multiple requests from the Parliamentary Finance Committee that they be sent early by the government for review and discussion before being sent to the House of Representatives for a vote.”
He added, “Based on the indicators we have, there is no specific timetable for the government to submit the 2025 budget tables,” stressing that “these tables will resolve many issues, especially the financing of the governorates’ budgets for 2025, in addition to the remaining entitlements for the categories covered by them.”
Karwi explained that “this week there will be an important meeting with the government to discuss expediting the submission of the 2025 budget tables.”
It is noteworthy that the 2025 tables relate to disbursement mechanisms for governorates and ministries, the completion of financing axes for their service projects, in addition to the entitlements of many categories of state employees.
