The New York Times felt that the solution to Iraq’s problems lies in the resignation of Maliki’s responsibility.

The newspaper said in analyzing her about what the situation in Iraq, that Iraq is going through a serious crisis and that the solution lies in that step down the prime minister and replaced by another figure elected by Parliament, there are other Shiite politicians who are able to lead a government of national unity.

If what has added to persuade al-Maliki to resign, it would give the moderates of the year symbolic victory and curb the influence of extremists in their community.

This in turn could show all Iraqis that change is possible through politics, not war. It can avoid the dissolution of parliament.

She noted that the decade after the fall of Saddam Hussein, the violence threatens to crush Iraq.

The regional cooperation with the United States on a new political deal with the disappearance of al-Maliki from the picture, will not be easy but it is essential to save Iraq.
