, a deputy of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan confirmed, on Sunday, that the resigned prime minister, Adel Abdul-Mahdi, was the most suitable person for prime minister at the current stage.
“There are two approaches among the political parties. The first is to agree on a candidate who meets the demands of the political blocs and demonstrators, and the second is the continuation of Abdul-Mahdi in his position as prime minister,” MP Hassan Ali said in an interview carried by his party’s media.
He added, “Some political parties support Abdel Mahdi remaining in his position as prime minister, and I believe that he is the best person for the current stage and until the end of the current crisis.”
He pointed out, “Abdel-Mahdi does not bear the responsibility for the total deterioration of services, because the problems are the accumulations of previous governments, and if the political parties agree on a new candidate, this will be good, but until now there has been a tendency for Abdel-Mahdi to remain in his position.” End / 29 / h
