Finance Minister Faleh al-Sari announced that the ministry has submitted the draft federal budget for 2027 to the Ministerial Council for the Economy.
Al-Sari said that the ministry has fulfilled its obligations in completing the budget project within the specified timeframes, and that its preparation includes a gradual application of the program and performance budgeting approach in the electricity sector and the governorates of Diwaniyah and Salah al-Din.
He added that the draft budget took into account the priorities of the government program and considered economic and financial variables, spending priorities, and the needs of important segments of society, within the limits of available financial resources.
