A spokesman for the Ministry of Defense, Mohammed al-Khudari, on Saturday, the start of the liberation of Tal Afar district of gangs operationally supported by the air strikes carried out by Iraqi aviation, and praised the cooperation of the people of the judiciary with the security forces.
Al-Khudari said that “after the end of the operations for the liberation of Mosul, headed the compass of the military leaders to Tal Afar to free him from gangs,” adding that “the operations have begun operationally in the judiciary through the strikes carried out by Iraqi aviation.”
He added that “there is cooperation by the people of Tal Afar with the military units in the field of intelligence and the provision of information and on this basis carried out air force planes successful strikes on the sites of the terrorist organization,” pointing out that “the full decision will be through the launch of ground operations.”
“The popular mobilization has been carrying out large operations since the start of Yaninawi’s operations, and now it is encircling the judiciary and preventing the infiltration of terrorist groups and logistical support from it, but its participation in the liberation operations will be decided by Yanuwei’s chief of operations, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Yarallah,” al-Khudari said.
It is noteworthy that the Joint Operations Command decided to launch the process of restoring the district of Tal Afar, before the province of Hawija in the province of Kirkuk.
