The leader of the State of Law coalition, Jassem Al-Bayati, confirmed, on Saturday, that the Kurdish delegation announced explicitly from the office of the head of the coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, that they did not go with any party at the expense of another, noting that if the framework and the Sadrist bloc agree, tomorrow’s session will be open Until the issue of the largest bloc is resolved.
Al-Bayati said in a statement to “Information”, that “the Kurdish delegation explicitly announced this morning, Saturday morning, from the office of the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, that the Kurds will not go with any political party without the other in resolving the issue of the three presidencies.”
He added that he “hopes for an agreement tonight with the framework and the current to go to tomorrow’s session as a larger bloc,” noting that “the framework refuses to be the first session without the presence of a larger bloc, and the largest bloc is seen by the framework who owns 166 seats and above and not who owns the highest seats.”
Al-Bayati explained that “in the event that there is no consensus between the framework and the Sadrist movement, the first session will be an open session until the agreements are resolved.”
Earlier, members of the coordination framework had suggested that a direct meeting would take place in the coming hours between a delegation from the forces of the coordination framework and the Sadrist movement to resolve the issue of the largest bloc, indicating that in the event of no consensus, the framework would proceed by declaring itself as a larger bloc for its rapprochement with other political forces.
