The Iraqi president thanks the United States for continuing to support Iraq

Shafaq News/ The President of the Republic of Iraq, Abdul Latif Rashid, expressed, on Tuesday, his appreciation for the United States’ continued support for Iraq in all fields.
The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that President Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid received, today, at the Baghdad Palace, the United States Ambassador to Iraq, Alina Romanowski, and during the meeting, he talked about the friendly relations between the two countries in a way that serves common interests and helps alleviate Tensions in the region through dialogue.
For her part, the US ambassador renewed her country’s support for the stability of Iraq, stressing, according to the statement, the continuation of providing the necessary assistance to the Iraqis within the framework of the strategic framework agreement between the two countries.
In this regard, the statement says, the President of the Republic expressed his appreciation for the continued support of Iraq by the United States in various fields, stressing the importance of expanding the horizons of joint cooperation to confront the economic conditions and environmental and climatic changes, of which Iraq is the most affected country.
