Shafaq News/ Sources in Iraqi armed factions revealed, on Saturday, that they entered into “media silence” until they held a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani regarding the outcomes of his meetings in Washington regarding the removal of American forces from Iraq.
Informed sources told Shafaq News Agency, “There are directives issued by the Resistance Factions Coordination Body to enter into media silence for all factions, and not to give any statement from the factions’ spokespeople or leaders during the current period, even regarding the explosion that occurred in one of the PMF camps in Babylon.”
The sources added, “The media silence will end after the leaders of the armed factions hold a meeting with Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani after his return to Baghdad and learn the details of the meetings in Washington regarding the removal of American forces.”
The sources continued, “After the meeting, the factions will have a clear declared position regarding whether to continue halting or resuming their operations against the Americans.”
A security source reported today, Saturday, that a missile had been targeted against the 27th Brigade of the Popular Mobilization Forces, inside the “Kalsu” joint military base, north of Babil Governorate, south of the capital, Baghdad.
