The Echo Iraq Observatory, which specializes in economic affairs, reported on Saturday that the Iraqi economy had a financial deficit of 12.15 trillion dinars by the end of July. Non-oil revenues, for the first time, accounted for 10% of total public revenues.

The Observatory explained in a report received by Shafaq News Agency that total public expenditures until the end of July amounted to 84.18 trillion dinars, distributed as follows:

Current expenditures: 62.27 trillion dinars, which is the largest share of spending. Expenditures under the Chinese agreement: 321.13 billion dinars. Oil licensing rounds expenditures: 8.53 trillion dinars. Investment expenditures: 13.06 trillion dinars. The report indicated that public revenues amounted to 72.03 trillion dinars, of which 7.07 trillion dinars were non-oil, or about 10% of the total. This also included the amounts transferred from the Kurdistan Region to the federal treasury, amounting to 439.34 billion dinars.

The observatory indicated that oil revenues reached 64.96 trillion Iraqi dinars, making the actual fiscal deficit by the end of July approximately 12.15 trillion Iraqi dinars.
