The US dollar exchange rate rose against the Iranian currency on Saturday, reaching 10.320 million tomans per 100 dollars, an increase of 3.78% compared to last Thursday.
The price of $100 has fluctuated between 9.930 million tomans during recent trading sessions, according to data from local monitoring sites.
The UN Security Council voted on Friday against a draft resolution to permanently lift sanctions on Iran.
The 15-member UN Security Council was due to vote on the draft resolution after Britain, France, and Germany launched a 30-day process on August 28 to reimpose UN sanctions, accusing Tehran of failing to comply with the 2015 nuclear agreement with world powers aimed at preventing it from developing a nuclear weapon.
