Deputy Chairman of the Parliamentary Integrity Committee, member of the investigation committee of the theft of the century, Representative Alia Nassif, confirmed, on Saturday, that the former Prime Minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, was included in the arrest warrants for the investigation of senior officials in the event that charges against them were proven.
Nassif said, in a statement to Al-Maalouma, that “the court specialized in investigating the theft of the century works professionally and accurately through the confessions of the accused and those involved in the deal, the latest of which was the arrest warrants issued yesterday against each of the Minister of Finance, the director of the Prime Minister’s office, and the personal secretary of the Chairman of the Council.” Ministers, and the media advisor to the Prime Minister in the previous government.
She added, “In the event that charges are proven against the four against whom investigation and arrest warrants were issued, former Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kazemi will be included in the charge because he is the first CEO according to the constitution and the law,” indicating that the four defendants are still outside the country.
