The Public Integrity Commission is awaiting the prosecution to form a government and end the Corona crisis to uncover “major corruption files”, while stressing that these files involve senior officials.
Committee member Abdul-Amir Al-Mayahi said in a press statement that the most important laws that the committee will work to activate in a law “From where did you get this and illegal gain?”, Noting that these laws are established, but the work is stalled due to the challenges facing the country from Delaying the formation of the government to the Corona Virus pandemic. The deputy added, that the convening of the parliament and the return of the committees ’meeting will be the first two steps at the beginning of the next legislative term to work to activate these laws, indicating that despite the existence of these strict laws, we need to activate the oversight committee’s role to uncover corruption.
He added that the committee has a lot of corruption files and is waiting for the situation inside the country to stabilize and the Corona virus ends and the formation of the government, in order for the atmosphere to be appropriate to detect and activate it.
He pointed out that the laws of “graft and where do you get this” are from the decisive and carefully studied laws through which we can control corruption and hold many corrupt officials accountable for corruption.
